Sustainability, by Design
TAYGRA isn’t a mass-produced sneaker brand. At The Sole Co, we’re proud to be an official stockist of TAYGRA — a small-batch, artisan-made shoe with a big mission: reduce waste, honour people, and take better care of the Earth.
Every pair is handcrafted in Brazil using recycled materials and water-based, non-toxic glues. We don’t just talk sustainability — we build it into every stitch.
Nothing Wasted
TAYGRAs are made using upcycled plastics and fabric scraps that would otherwise end up in landfill. Even the offcuts from production are collected and reused — turned into pillows, dolls, cushions, or more soles. Everything is transformed. Nothing is wasted.
And the glues? They're water-based — safer for the makers, and safer for the planet.
Made by Hands That Matter
70% of TAYGRA sneakers are handmade, and all are produced by a small network of artisans in Brazil — many of whom work from home to support their families.
There’s no outsourcing. No unfair wages. Just ethical, local production that supports 30–50 families with consistent, fair income.

Planting Seeds for the Future
TAYGRA contributes approx. €1 from every sneaker sold to fund CURUPIRA — an Amazon reforestation initiative.
Working alongside small-scale farmers, CURUPIRA pays locals a salary to plant and care for native trees. The goal? Regrow forest, reverse deforestation, and show that preserving nature can be both profitable and powerful.
Here at The Sole Co, we’re proud to partner with a brand that invests in projects like CURUPIRA.
To date, over 5,000 trees have been planted.
