SIZING & FIT

TAYGRAs fit a little differently from your average sneaker. Here’s what to know before choosing your size.

TAYGRAs use European sizing and are designed to fit snugly and close to your foot when new.

Measure your foot in centimetres and compare it with the Foot Length column in our Size & Fit Guide. If you’re between sizes, we generally recommend choosing the larger of the two sizes.

Choose the larger of the two sizes. For example, if you usually wear a 38.5, choose a 39.

They should feel snug and secure, but never painfully tight. The soft uppers will give and mould to your feet with wear, so you don’t want them feeling loose straight out of the bag.

Absolutely. TAYGRAs can be worn with or without socks - whichever feels best to you.

Email us at hello@thesoleco.au with your foot measurement in centimetres, your usual shoe size and the TAYGRA style you’re looking at. We’ll happily help you choose.

PRODUCT & CARE

A few things worth knowing about wearing, washing and looking after your TAYGRAs.

Yes. Remove the insoles and laces, place everything in a garment bag and wash on a cold, gentle cycle.

Always use cold water to protect the water-based glue, then allow everything to air dry completely. Do not tumble dry.

Yes. Remove the insoles and laces from your TAYGRAs, place them in the garment bag with your shoes and wash everything together on a cold, gentle cycle. Allow everything to air dry completely before putting your shoes back together.

They don’t need breaking in like a stiff leather shoe, but they will soften and mould to your feet with wear. A new pair should feel snug and secure rather than loose.

Materials vary between styles. Classic Low uppers use soft recycled fabric offcuts, while the Corrida Low and Corridalta High use lightweight, breathable mesh. TAYGRAs have flexible PVC soles and are made using water-based glue.

Yes. TAYGRA describes its shoes as vegan and made without animal-derived materials.

TAYGRAs have been made in Brazil since 1989. Production remains 100% Brazilian, with around 70% of the process completed by hand.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Not quite right? Here’s what happens next.

You have 21 days from the date your order is delivered to try your TAYGRAs indoors and make sure the fit feels right.

If they’re not right for you, you can return or exchange them, provided they’ve only been tried on indoors and are returned in clean, resalable condition with the original shoe bag.

Yes. As long as they meet the conditions of our 21-Day Comfort Promise, you can return them for a refund or exchange.

Please only try your TAYGRAs indoors while deciding whether to keep them.

The easiest option is to return your original pair and place a new order for the size or style you want.

Your returned pair must meet our return requirements, including having only been tried on indoors and being returned in clean, resalable condition with the original shoe bag. Once your return arrives and has been inspected and approved, we’ll process your refund.

If you’d prefer to wait until your return reaches us before we send a replacement, get in touch and we can help arrange it.

Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty or we’ve made an error with your order.

Yes, but sale items and items purchased using a promotional discount are eligible for exchange or store credit only. We don’t offer change-of-mind refunds on these purchases.

The exception is our $10 welcome discount - orders using this discount are still eligible for a refund under our standard return conditions.

If your item is faulty or otherwise covered by your rights under Australian Consumer Law, these restrictions do not apply.

Please contact us with your order details and photos of the issue so we can help. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected by our returns policy.

SUSTAINABILITY

A little more about how TAYGRAs are made.

TAYGRA takes a considered approach to how its shoes are made, from keeping production in Brazil to using water-based glues, reducing production waste and incorporating recycled and alternative materials across parts of its range.

We don’t believe any sneaker is without impact, so we’d rather be specific about what TAYGRA is doing than make broad sustainability claims.

Some styles use recycled materials, but not all. Our Classic style uppers are made using recycled fabric offcuts, while other TAYGRA styles use different materials depending on their construction.

TAYGRA collects and repurposes production scraps wherever possible rather than simply sending them to waste.

Since 2009, TAYGRA has supported CURUPIRA, a reforestation project focused on restoring degraded land in the Brazilian Amazon while creating income opportunities for local communities.
